IWF admits mistake in Sanjita Chanu dope case, Indian lifter demands probe

The International Weight Lifting Federation (IWF) has admitted the exact sample number of Sanjita Chanu to make a mistake in the report of her failed dope test, a development that has demanded the interrogation of Commonwealth Games gold medalist.

According to a letter sent to the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA), the World Body has admitted the introduction of two different urine sample numbers in the communication of its dope flanks earlier this year. The communication that accepts "administrative fault" is in possession of PTI.

Sanjita has now written to the IWF that there is a demand for investigation that such a mistake can be done. On sending the dope result notification to Sanjita on May 15, IWF mentioned the sample code number 1599000 collected in Las Vegas on November 17 last year, while the sample code 1599176 mentioned in the results section.

After this issue, after reaching the Prime Minister's Office, IWF came in. The PMO had written to the Sports Ministry to look into the matter, who, in return, instructed Nada to do so.

However, there is no effect on the actual doping issue in the entry of IWF, and interestingly, NADA responds to the Sports Ministry in response to the request that Sanjita will need to explain before the hearing panel of the International Weightlifting Federation -Poping Rule Violation ".

Prior to the World Championships in November, the urine 'A' sample of Sanjeeeta, who got out of the competition in the United States, positively tested for anabolic steroids and was immediately placed under temporary suspension.

In response to the Sports Ministry on the Doping Saga, NADA said, "Code of Code Code 15991 was collected on November 18, 2017, during the competition by the American Anti-Doping Agency in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA (USADA).

"The results of the laboratory were reported on December 20 and sampling has been reported for adverse analytical discovery."

USAADA addressed the communication of this dope result to Sanjita (in her email) with a copy in IWF and Wada.On May 15, IWF sent a notification of Sanjita and the Indian Union for adverse analytical discovery to the sample code number 1599000.

"In the notification sent by the International Weightlifting Federation to the Weightlifter, there is a mention of sample code 1599176 which states:" The notification of the USAADA of January 9, 2018 has been indicated, the IWF will be responsible for the management of the results related to possible management Anti-doping rule violation arising out of the results given by sample 1599176, "NADA said in a letter to the Sports Ministry,

NADA said, "In response to NADA email, IWF has clarified that in the notification the sample code number 1599176 is due to administrative fault."

Sanjita, who claims innocence from the beginning, has now written a letter to the International Federation to start an investigation.

"In one of your replies, you said 'Another reference to another sample code in the notification letter is due to administrative fault. Will you please explain this administrative mistake in detail?" He asked.

"How does such a responsible federation make such a serious mistake on such an extremely important document? I want to start an investigation to understand the reason for this 'infalling' mistake," said Sanjita, who had previously demanded that urine To know whether the sample was his or not, a DNA test should be conducted.
