Story

This Independence Day, Akshay Kumar has returned with another film which is high on patriotism. Gold, directed by Rima Kaji revolves around the first Olympic gold victory of Independent India. This work was achieved by the Indian men's hockey team on August 12, 1948.


While Gold is inspired by real events, manufacturers have taken some creative liberties. Before hit film theaters tomorrow, the inspiring story of winning 10 points in the 1948 Summer Olympics is given here:

1. Indian men's hockey team won the country's first Olympic medal in the 14th London Olympiad in 1948 as an independent nation.

2. London Olympics was the first Olympics held after World War II. It was held after 12 years of interval, in which the last 1936 was the Berlin Olympics.
