In search of Kollywood’s 007
Along with Vishwaroopam, Kamal made a huge promise to roam the original story. The first installment completed its promise to be an action-pack, fast thriller.
The Vishwaroopam franchise has filled the huge gap that Kollywood cinema has when it comes to the genre of spy films. |
Kamal Haasan's long-awaited, long-running, sequel to his spy thriller Vishwaroopam has been hit on the screen on August 10. Vishwaroopam franchisee has filled the vast gap when it comes to detective style movies. In fact, in a recent interview, Kamal Haasan mentioned the shortage of such memorable films. "Idea is to make such a movie that I want to see as a film buff, this is the film about which we talk about, why do not we have made it or when we do it, then we go to digress Or slim why. In a promotional event, the actor said, "We always appreciate fast-paced thrillers, but we never end it."
It's not just about a fast-thriller thriller, but Kollywood has not always lacked, like an agent series like James Bond films or Mission Impossible franchise. The agent who hovers state-of-the-art Gizmos and technology - nothing is beyond its capabilities and saves no failing day.
There can be no argument that our general commercial heroes have some of the above qualities, but the interesting thing about the above franchisees is that they do not include the argument or science to the discerning audience. However, in Kollywood, this is a different story.

Kamal Haasan's 1986 film Vikram saw the name of Agent Arunkumar Vikram alias Vikram, who named the film. For a very revolutionary for his time, Vikrama bowels some good gadgets to Kamal, which was definitely not back home. Even a lock-picking device has a pair of earphones attached. Perhaps the first Tamil film to mention Intercontinental Ballistic Missile, Vikram has a lot science-fiction writing that an agent is worthy of thanking Kamal and writer Sujata. However, the film suffers from very Kollywood perspective. As filmmakers, in order to fulfil all geographical pockets, it is requested to satisfy all types of viewers. We digress in an effort to pack everything in their stories as creators, so that's something for everyone. The reason is simple - more pavements, better revenues. Its purpose is to bring 'family listeners' in some way, it is still there. Thus, Vikrama travels to Salamiya where there is a forced humour with a transsexual person. There are also item numbers. Actually, Kamal agrees that he failed with Vikram, even if it was a commercial success. "It is not easy to adapt such ideas into our cinema. Imagine James Bond is removing his shoe so he can enter the Kabali temple. I remember Jaishankar's cowboy films, which are running buffaloes in the background. In place of Mexican festivals, they will have village festivals, all seen incompatible and clearly, little silly. The children of college, I remember,

After Vishwaroopam 2, there is also a much-awaited Pole Nachthiram in the pipeline, which again promises to be a reality for its real thriller.
With films reaching more markets all over the country and abroad, culture stops trying to catch the taste of all types of viewers for our filmmakers. And perhaps, it can end us leaving the agent that we need and deserve.
